“The Lines That Whisper” emerges from my ongoing exploration of stillness, texture, and emotional resonance through monochromatic expression. Informed by the traditions of Color Field painting and material abstraction, this work reduces form to its most essential language—repetitive, textural lines in pure black oil—to evoke the depth and nuance that exist within apparent simplicity.

Hand-painted in oil with deliberate, heavy impasto, each line is both a physical mark and an emotional record. The surface holds shadows, ridges, and subtle variations in sheen, inviting the eye to move slowly, to dwell in the spaces between strokes, and to listen for what is felt more than seen.
