Textured Wabi-Sabi Concentric Ripple Relief Painting – EV#0506
Description
Product Overview
Introduce meditative rhythm and rich tactile depth into your interior with this original hand-painted 3D relief canvas by Eliot Vermeer. Inspired by gravitational pull and concentric water ripples, this piece features radiating textured rings sculpted around an organic, clay-toned center. The evocative color palette transitions seamlessly from warm earthy ochre and bronze in the core to moody indigo and midnight blue at the periphery, punctuated by subtle gilded flecks. Rendered with heavy mixed-media plaster and impasto technique, its dimensional ridges interact dynamically with natural light throughout the day.
The Story Behind the Art
Artist Eliot Vermeer drew inspiration from cyclical natural phenomena—a pebble dropping into deep water, tree rings, and the quiet movement of celestial bodies. By shaping raw, weathered textures in a harmonious circular motion, Eliot captures the essence of centeredness and quiet contemplation. Embracing the core philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, the deliberate crackle finishes and organic irregularities celebrate the beauty of aging surfaces and natural imperfection, inviting stillness into the contemporary home.
